Unknown steam ID in client log file

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Well, this time I had a good time in a nice server and tried to add the host as friend.

I opened Client_log.txt file to get the steam code of the host, and found a stranger's ID in there.

(btw for people who don't know yet, the server host cannot be found and be added as friend in-game)

I could notice that the person is not the one whom I am looking for because

1. the person's nationality on steam (depends on the ping & language)

2. all the log files (all the different servers, 7 to 8 in total) have the same id

Has this happened to anybody else?

I will paste the part of the log in the spoiler tab. Check the last line please.

As for adding someone you played with, Steam has the option to view old players you've played with from Steam's: view->players->recent games

Thanks, I thought DST do not offer Recently played with for steam launcher. I only used History in-game.

Weird, when i searched the number on Steam, this one popped up.

Thanks for the comment .

When you putted ID as Friend Code, steam gave you someone who had or have same or similar code. Friend Code isn't steam ID.

Anyways nice to hear you found your friend! Good luck in starving together!
