Anti-Puft ranch

For slime and bleach stone production? How many pufts do you need to grow shrooms?
I wonder how much ranching it would take to supply a single rocket worth of oxylite.
Thats an idea for a challenge, must ranch all possible mats. With the slickster and hatch morph mods you get robot slicksters for steel etc. Think I saw a puft mod also. Disable/forbid all buildings that you can replace with critters. No domestic farming either as you can use pips.

It doesn't work because there are no pufts? :wilson_curious:

Because It should definitely work. Unless automation decides to do nasty things.

Having the eggs go through the rooms, however, is bad, if they trigger the cramped debuff.

 

Ah, just noticed the the Prince egg is delivered to the stable ”room". That's no good.

It just doesn't work for a multitude of reasons.

Eggs still have to be picked up and sent to the sorting room, which is difficult to make them avoid being transported through rooms, but it's not much time, certainly not enough to cause a significant cramped debuff.

One of the main issues is that the eggs get laid int he prince room, hatch and then all pufts live in that little room where they are now.

One puft even got hatched in the conveyor filter at the top middle....

Meh, t's just a piece of crap design.

Eggs should not hatch while being carried on the rail? Or is that some kind of bug?

Or is some quirk involving rail corners and bridges, which make the egg appear in another place?

There should be just one prince egg there every X cycles, right? You mean that the regular eggs don't get delivered to the pool but to the "prince room" instead? If that happens is definitely some strange behavior due to rail/bridge/solid tile interaction. I remember that it could make automation fail consistenly.

I gave up trying to work out what was wrong with this piece of **** build a few hundred cycles ago.

Eggs shouldn't hatch on the rails, but one did, I don't know why.  I don't know why the prince rooms don't work either.  the 2 water timers are supposed to ensure a prince egg gets delivered on time and also normal eggs get delivered at the right time to each chamber, but well, it's a piece of **** and nothing works correctly.

Nono I meant how you create it! Do you have like an offgas room? I really need setups for PO so I can have clay for ceramic :D
