hey all, I've been using Krane for animation decompiling for spriter and modding, but Spriter is incredibly annoying to work with. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to decompile the animations into an fla file instead of an scml file, and if that doesn't exist, if anyone would know how to make something like this for the modding pipeline. Thanks in advance.

While the two may resemble each other, the two have a rather large underlying infrastructural change.

Spriter is a simple symbol and bone-based interpolation animation system, whereas flash has a lot more under the hood.

To convert one to another and back again would be a rather big mess to do, for little value; flash has been deprecated and will no longer be supported in 2020 as-is.

correction, .swf files and flash player will be deprecated and no longer supported online after 2020. Animate will still exist as a program, and as it is a central part of the Klei animation pipeline, it can be assumed that it will stay that way. As such, I would like to replace spriter with Animate, not convert scml to fla.

Since Adobe recently updated Animate CC to the 2020 version, I can assure you that the program itself is not going away anytime soon.

I want to remove spriter from the pipeline completely, basically. There would be no converting back and forth. I want to make my pipeline as similar to the pipeline Klei uses as possible.
