What the hell is building slab? Refined mineral category? What?

Recommended Posts

It`s a leftover material from earlier development. Never implemented. My theory is that they wanted to make another material family with refined minerals but never did. You can see that some of the advanced buildings use raw minerals to build despite being pretty high tech like metal refinery or glass forge. Possilby those were planned to use stuff like building slab.

There are other unused materials in the codex under the refined mineral tag: crushed rock, sand cement, brick.

Brick has the same properties as ceramic exept the material tag which makes me believe it was supposed to be produced by the kiln while ceramic would appear in the world when clay got heated by something like magma.

Thank you for this exhaustive explanation. Definitely satisifed my curiosity :)
