GuyPerfect
While feeling my way through the Rocketry mechanics, I analyzed several objects on the Starmap with a Telescope and then decided to tear it down and build a rocket where it was. When I got the Command Module in place, there was a "Show Starmap" button that didn't do anything. The Starmap was disabled because I didn't have a Telescope anywhere on the map. So I had to do this: My suggestion is to rig it up to make the Starmap unlock permanently once the first Telescope is built. Or, at the very least, to remain unlocked if any heavenly bodies have already been analyzed.
SharraShimada
The telescope ist needed to plan the rocket-missions. So, without, no rocket will go off. But you can just place a telescope somewhere. It dont have to see anything. Its not even required operational. Just build one, without power, without oxygen, somewhere, and it works. So, everything you "loose" is some metal, and 4x5 squares of space.
GuyPerfect
That's the point, though. If the telescope isn't required, it shouldn't be required. It's no big deal to put one somewhere, but it doesn't make any sense to bury one in the rock just so I can fly a rocket.
