Wood Burner should give charcoal

Recommended Posts

Currently, the wood burner is not worth using because of the heat and carbon dioxide produced.

Maybe it would be more useful if it gave charcoal. It would be a filtration medium so you could use it in the water sieve and deodorizers.

Rather, it's not being used because the petroleum generator on ethanol beats it, while also spitting out similar byproducts. Wood burner giving coal is an option, but would need to not beat the petroleum generator on ethanol I think.

I think a better fix for the wood burner is to increase it's wattage a touch, to say 400, and significantly reduce the CO2 output.  You really can't use it as a power source right now because it just makes too much CO2 and manual generators can cover your needs better since dupes will automatically stop using them when the batteries are full.  The only application for it at the moment is to make a little extra CO2 to increase air pressure when you're using oxyferns.

Basically this seems to be it`s intended application. If it wasn`t bugged and worked like the coal gen in terms of battery charge it would be useful early alongside amnual gens.
