DarkMaster13 Posted July 9, 2019 Share Posted July 9, 2019 Since the Terra start is intended to be new player friendly and be as easy as possible, I'd suggest making it not have any random traits. That way it always offers the same sort of start with all the normal conditions. No concerns with boulders and geodes getting in the way, the oil biome is where you'd expect it to be, all the resource amounts are standard, and you don't have any other major potential issues or confusing aspects of the game. An alternative start that's basically terra with traits is fine, if it's necessary. However the first one and the one a new player is pushed towards shouldn't have surprises. The game is plenty difficult for a new player where they're fairly likely to screw themselves over without unusual map features.
