Mod or DLC idea... Cyborg dupes

Had an idea for the future of ONI with the release this month. I have seen some people mention Nuclear Power DLC (awesome idea... take my money Klei). but I wanted to suggest an idea that people might also like. Cyborg Duplicates

One thing ONI lacks is better visual customization for dupes, besides snazzy suits we cant do much for our little duplicates.

What if we had a machine that replaced body parts of dupes for upgrades with the help of a 4th teir evil Doctor skill? each part would require refined metals 500kg per part and will have +5 decor bonus each (and if made from things like gold will get the 50% boost on top of it). So a full equipped dupe can run around +25 decor (without the material bonus) including the specialization slot. I wanted to keep it below snazzy suits to keep them somewhat viable. This would be more of a mid to late game goal for your dupes if you wanted to pursue it. A dupe with full body cyborg upgrades can withstand more extreme temperatures( +20 degrees celsius range) without getting sick or injured including sunburns but can still use exo suits if you want to go lava swimming. 

The upgraded parts each of which will change to look of the dupe in accordance with the part

1.Cyborg Legs to increase run speed by 50% (visual change legs)

2.Cyborg Arms to increase strength +5, (visual change arms)

3.Cyborg Lungs to reduce O2 consumption -25g/s (stacks with divers lungs and deeper divers lungs) (visual change chest)

4.Cyborg Regeneration- dupes require fewer 500 kcal per day but require power to maintain their systems and must charge in a station (must be powered obviously 5kJ per cycle) instead of having a bed (think the Borg from Star Trek) (visual change head or maybe add a battery backpack)

 

Each cyborg dupe can also can have one specialization upgrade slot with a visual change as well

-Cyborg Enhanced Brain +5 Science (Glowing eye)

-Drill Arm attachment +5 Digging (Big Daddy arm from Bioshock)

- Harvest attachment +5 farming (Edward Scissor hands)

-Flamethrower + 5 cooking (Flamethrower arm duh)

-Paint gun +5 creativity (similar to flamethrower but with more color)

- Needle arm +5 medical skill (and you thought getting the flu shot sucked)

- Shears +5 ranching and can shear dreckos without a station (kinda like the scissor hands)

- Swiss army attachment +5 tinkering (stranded issue swiss army...arm)

-Rivet/Nail gun attachment +5 construction (similar to paint gun and flamethrower)

- Ion jet pack gives cyborg dupe flight but also requires additional 20kJ power that must be charged again once exhausted (jetpack with blue ion trails)

 

Some risk is involved with the process as well. Each stage of the conversion process has a 5% chance to add a new negative trait

-Terminator- cyborg dupe will randomly attack other dupes can last 30-60 sec dealing a total of 50 damage (can kill the dupe if it is already low health) and has a 25% chance to happen per cycle.

-Uncanny Valley- dupe gets a -50 decor aura 2 tiles around cyborg dupe instead of the positive buff originally from parts.

- Overload- dupe part being upgraded can randomly explode doing 50 damage to itself and anything within 2 tiles (can happen once per 3 cycles)

- Glitchy- dupe will randomly stop and glitch out for 30 sec has a 25% chance to happen per cycle.

-Despises organics- dupe receives +20% stress increase when within 3 tiles or a normal unmodified duplicant

- Fatally Flawed Upgrade- kills the dupe being upgraded.

 

Of course I would love to hear what you all think of these new mechanics. What attachments would you add? Any other ideas for negative or even more positive traits? Who know maybe klei or a modder could even makes this appart of ONI one day.
