Mikeloeven
This just really bothers me because of how little sense it makes. Once polluted water is mopped up It is contained in a BOTTLE however after some times these appear to emit polluted oxygen. This makes very little sense mostly because one can assume bottles have a cap which when screwed on properly would prevent any emissions from the bottle there are already too many items in the game that emit dangerous gases however once mopped Polluted water should be safe to store and handle while it remains in a bottle. Nightinggale
Maybe it bothers you, but the forum is full of posts about various ways of making bottled polluted water together with deoderizers as a path to make oxygen. Making bottled polluted water stop releasing polluted oxygen would break a lot games. I fully get your arguments and in a way I agree, but that won't change the fact that it's a much used game mechanic and likely a mistake to change now. Mikeloeven
@Nightinggale Yes but that can be accomplished by emptying the bottles into a pit with a group of deodorizers on a platform above it ..... It could also be possible to add an action to open or close the bottle as a potential have your cake and eat it to solution?

True, but it's totally not the same when you look at kg/s conversion.
Aeglefire
Side question: When polluted water emits polluted oxygen, it loses mass?

The bottle will eventually vanish if you do not add more polluted water or prevent degassing due to air pressure. It takes a while, but it will happen. You can think about germy stuff rot in the bottle, no cap hold pressure after a while. Empty bottles or put a deodorizer close to them.
