Make Wormwood cure diseased plants

Recommended Posts

Well that'd be cool, since there is currently 0 ways to cure plants. But then you can't just make it exclusive to wormwood to be able to cure plants. There needs to be a harder way to do it, implanted within the game, that every character has access to. Which then brings us back to the tons of topics about diseases and suggs about how to balance them.

tl;dr, yes but no. (at least not only that)

Why does it need to be something all characters can do?

Because disease is a game mechanic affecting all players and solution to a problem shouldn't be exclusive to onr character only. It's like having special berry bushes that can only be harvested by a specific character. Some characters can do it better like Winona's tapes but it's nonfun gameplaywise if sewing kit didb't exist and only Winona could fix stuff.

In any case, disease does have a cure, you can preemptively showel up the diseased plant before it gets visually sick without consequences. But I'd like if the mechanism was made more sophisticated

If he does this then there should be a way for the vanilla characters to craft something which cures disease. He can just do it easier than they can. It's a great idea overall but in my opinion he already does quite a bit that other characters can't. The living log factory is really strong. The plant seeds anywhere without a farm is also really strong.
