Let's post bad advice for new players.

Put your beds at the bottom of your base. 

Only use coal generators early game.  Store them at the top of your base.  Every time you need more power just add another one. 

Don't use the heavy wire.  It adds too much bad decor to ever be useful.

Kill all Hatches.  They eat all resources and food you have on the ground.

Output your cleaned lavatory/sink/shower water back into the reservoir it came from.  Endless clean/cool water.

Always research to the end of a tree before going to the next tree.  After Advanced research start with Art.

When you are trying to seal off a vacuum area using a visco gel seal, always build the lower tile first, as this will ensure that the visco gel seal remains in place when the tile is built, as shown in the diagram below.
