Add Protection Against Griefing

Fire Prevention

  • Add a new mob which spawns when someone sets a large amount of plants or structures on fire.
  • The mob will begin putting out the fire and then will chase and kill the player, can't be out-runned.
  • Mob spawns far sooner if player sets structures on fire rather than plants.

Theft Prevention

  • Players can friend each other.
  • Friends can use chests and wont activate traps for each other.
  • Non-friends are locked out of chests and will get hurt from traps.
  • Add a way to lock-pick chests.

Demolition Prevention

  • A turtle monster spawns and attacks you if you destroy too many structures from non-friends.
  • Can be out-runned, but mob will stand and protect the remaining structures for a period of time.

should be able to be turned off (for pvp)

I'm on board for the fire prevention suggestions. Not so much for the others. They kind of go against the whole point of being on a public server. Doesn't really encourage working together in my eyes. And seems like it can be abused by people who are friends, but decide to play and take over a public server.

The suggestions also don't take into account intentional destruction by the base owners.(charcoal farms & redecorating) Nor does it take into account how chaotic this can get in a base with multiple people placing stuff. It seems like, to be on the safe side a person would need to friend everyone in the base just to interact with anything that isn't already laying on the ground.
