Wx-78 is OP

I do not teach you anything, but Wx is ridiculously powerful, in normal RoG and DS, we had the pieces of chess that made us more powerful with Wx, as well as the spoiled food that does not bring him a penalty and the lightning that is more a benefit than a penalty. Then, some thought that SW, would make Wx less powerful because of the humidity more present, it is the opposite, the stupid Floaty Boaty Knight make the gears easier to find and the renewable is increased. In Hamlet, he is still good, the Thunderbirds bring him more power (certainly, his health falls but it is rather easy to recover, even more with the dishes and food in stores), with its speed at 50% ( thanks to the lightning) and the stalking stick, it can overtake the rabid beetles. Gears are harder to get, but they are available in stores and going to the RoG and SW worlds. I think he's the best character in every DLC, and less powerful in Hamlet, but just as much, some people think it's Wicker, I respect that.

I have no clue what your talking about WX is perfectly balanced.

That statement is true, I agree. And it's fine, really, you haven't made any objections yourself either. It's a single player game and you're free to pick whoever you want. One character is better than others and I find it fine.
WX is weaker in SW though. In RoG you can use glitched mosling eggs to charge all you want, in Hamlet thunderbirds do the same for you. In SW you can go catch lightings every storm during hurricane season but that is time consuming and annoying and the charge won't last whole year anyway. You could also go to volcano and spam telelocator on yourself which works fine, but you can't mass-craft staves in SW.

existing in hurricane season will give you more overcharge than you would ever need, and you can farm gears from floaty boaty knights especially in the late game as killing any water creature including the knights will cause an investigation to happen which will make more appear.

I completely forgot about Float Boaty Cops spawning after you killed anything in the water,

we need Floaty Boaty Pond Cops now!

That's simply not true, as I said. One hurricane season I spent every storm on small island, fighting off shadows and getting charges. My charge ended before dry season started. Unreliable and as I said quite annoying. You can't go mind your own business but need to dedicate time to charge. At least you can farm some nightmare fuel while doing so.

True, but gears aren't a necessary after you go through 15 upgrades. They're just for emergency healing/sanity/whatever. Their role is even less important now when we have bundling wraps.

Never heard of that. I guess he was like that in early days?

I haven't heard of that either,
the only characters I know that have increased damage modifiers is Wolfgang and Wigfrid.
(Woodie/Wilba can be counted as well but they require a special condition which is not "Character" like)

This took way longer than it should have, but I decided to record how much you get struck during the hurricane cycle

Don't actually know how many times I got struck

side note do shadow creatures make a different sound now? I swear they sound different

When I played at RoG, I had made a world with a lot of chess pieces, I improved Wx, and when I had consumed 15 gears, I could kill spiders in 2 shots with a spear and I hit less the other mobs, also with a lance.
