Custom Sandbox is genius.

For the past few weeks, the forums were always complaining about the difficulty being too hard or too easy. I always assumed such a problem would be inevitable; I mean, how could one dev. team tackle a problem like pleasing everyone? This new custom sandbox mode has the potential to do just that. Think there's too much food? No problem. Think winter is too long? Feel free to shorten it. Just imagine; soon, even the most childish and ridiculous needs for this game could be fulfilled... except for multiplayer, of course. People will still complain about that ;_;

I say, Krampus needs a general buff now, he's too hard to summon, which made the whole aspect of naughtiness moot. No one's going to be complaining about how "hard" he is if people could just tweak him with the custom sandbox.

when it can make the game give me a little island-ish bit of land that has only one way in and is near to the centre of the map then its geniusnow i'm going to have to have an unsafe base again

There's a bunch of files with things like disable or supercharge the spawns of the berry turkeys/hounds/tree guardians, turn winter or summer off completely, turn night or day or evening off completely. I wonder why these all weren't a option atm.
