Using shift to build shouldn't leave gaps

Recommended Posts

I was trying to build a large room space for batteries for my solar power, so I wanted to build long stretches of drywall.  I tried using shift to build it quickly in a row, but it left a lot of holes, so I had to build slowly so the game could keep up.  I have the same problem building floors and ladders.  I was thinking it would be good if, when holding shift, it places the buildings in all possible places in between the starting point and the mouse like it does with wires and pipes.

Currently it seems that shift+drag only "fixes" one of the dimensions.

It should change the placement mode to place things in smallest possible intervals too. It gets wonky when it misses a frame and places things further than it needs to.

I also noticed how ladders, tiles etc. have gaps when I drag them slightly too fast.

that only became an issue 2 or 3 updates ago. never experienced it before. (pipes and cables are different, as they are not instantly placed)
