They should appear on the top of the selection menu so we don`t have to scroll through all the resources available in the game to find them. And yes, for decor related use, space items are the prime use. But you can also use them as an indicator for storage and such, so the material listed is also valid. But i´m sure they will adress this at some point, maybe in QOL III. They´ve just introduced them in QOL I after all.
