Mobility Issues

I was just watching the preview of the new patch and they were talking about how to increase mobility. (I guess some forum users have asked for mounts.) Well they said they put in the wormholes to address the issue. It is a set price to use by a loss of sanity. What I would like to see is a new magic prototype that can either produce a new set of wormholes or be able to move one that was already placed on the map. The reason I want this is I have had several maps where the wormholes are worthless and so I never used them or considered them. Yes I can see this as a problem as well with too much mobility but at the least I think we should be able to move the entrance or exit of a wormhole.

Before I posted I did a quick search of the forum to see if it was discussed. I didn't find anything talking about it. Has someone for Klei said anything about it possibly happening? I am just curious because Kevin was talking about wormholes on the preview stream about how that was their fix for mobility.

That's an understatement. ;)

Forum members have been suggesting mounts for months, starting with the Tallbird and Beefalo (which was the more popular of the two) and then more recently including the Koalaphant. Also, in lieu of an animal mount, other forum members have even suggest various vehicles... including the best mode of transport ever conceived. :)

Yes, this has been suggested before, and as [MENTION=2626]Toast[/MENTION]er-Fu mentioned, the Devs are considering it. I'm not sure the solution needs to fall under Magic however.

The Devs plan to balance this by allowing monsters to use wormholes as well... so you have to be careful where you place them (when you move a wormhole entrance).
