Suggestion: Gas Overlay

I find that using mods on an early access game, especially one that's receiving frequent updates, is a good way to break a game, or lose functionality after a patch when a mod you rely on isn't compatible any more.

If some mod breaks you simply remove it, you can figure out which one broke in output_log.txt, or you can post it somewhere so we will figure that out for you ;)

Take a look what you're missing if you're not using it:

Hmmmm.I think the Gases already color the area they are in (O² blue Hydrogen pink etc.)why an extra overlay for that?

It's hard to distinguish if you have mixed gases in some area or if they are at low pressure, especially with buildings obscuring it.

Are you saying you're not using the vanilla oxygen overlay and rely only on gas colors without overlay? That's an "extra overlay" as well :p

I totally agree with you

I think this is a good suggestion. Even if there are mods it should be in the vanilla game.

Unfortuantly not always. Not in front of drywalls or tempshift plates. It would be cool if this is changed, too. But anyway in areas with low pressure it's sometimes hard to see like Etiam said.

Also sometimes I need to know if somewhere is a vaccum (after pumped out or so). You can see it very good in the temperature overlay but it would be nicer to see it in a gas overlay so you can see which gases are around.
