paoweeotter
(That is totally not needed and can be done using a door and a clock) To stop them from trickling in and makes them wait in line until others are ready to join the party. The clip starts at Downtime and after they are done eating and relieving themselves they stand at the checkpoint and wait for others to catch up. Edit: im on mobile and accidentally deleted the imgur album with overlays. Ill post it later when i get home but basically the checkpoints are in a series of XOR gates attached to a memory toggle and weight plates then AND gates let everyone pass through once the chain is complete. Glassyfo
Could you not just use a door instead of a checkpoint? They get stuck in the checkpoint of its off no?
paoweeotter
You can do the same thing using a clock and a door haha. Just set the clock to open the door in the middle of your downtime so that after the dupes finish eating and using the toilet they all walk in at the same time. Or use the clock to turn on the jukebot instead of locking the door. If you use a checkpoint to restrict access, then you can just use a door and its much simpler. The difference is the checkpoint doesnt cancel a dupes task and it lets dupes walk the other way but i havent found actually useful ways to use it that way. I do like seeing them using the checkpoint though. Like waiting in line at the club.
Glassyfo
Yeah. I dislike checkpoints cuz while they're waiting at the checkpoint they're not doing anything else, whereas a locked door forces them to pick another task.
