Hikahi
It would be nice if there were a buildable diagonal half tile, something that would allow water to flow over it cleanly without leaving puddles behind (like it does when flowing down stair stepped tiles in the game currently). If this also worked as a ramp for dupes so they could move a little more smoothly on a diagonal, that would be neat too. Extra double bonus points if it acts as a slide for items dropped on it. Tonyroid
I dunno. Part of the fun part of the game is figuring out how to manage these problems and this capability would take away much of that. If you make it easy, then it will be easy, and that's no fun. Having a few grams of fluid left on steps that form a channel is more annoying than interesting problem to solve, IMO. Besides looking nicer, they would enable you to preferentially drain fluids to one side or another on a single tile. That would be a nice capability, but not sure if it's balance-breaking. Sasza22
I`d like to see dupes sliding on diagonal tiles and then slowly crawling bach up. After thinking about this a bit more, I have concluded that it totally breaks the current game design, which assumes 1 element/tile. A diagonal would allow half-n-half. If we cannot even mix gases, then surely they will not allow a tile to be half granite, half crude oil. So, we can probably kiss this idea goodbye, unless ONI v2 introduces mixing. Mesh and airflow tiles work that way. If the system used the same logic it could be possible It would just need to push liquid sideways if there is room for it.
