LeeFuelWeaver
Hello all.I got RoG on PS4 when it came out. I was wondering what all giants arent immune to sleep darts. Wondering cause i cant find specifics as to what giants are able to be put to sleep and how many it takes. I woulda used to just use pan flute but seeing as i will need multiple throughout my world an have no mandrakes to make any, i found 1 by glommer but using it ALL for dragonfly encounters so i need alternate paths to take. I also couldve used to just put rare items in chester to duplicate them ie(pan flute), but klei thought its not okay for us to duplicate items although you PC guys can debug w/e you want... Jealous I am, but they shouldve left the chester dupe in on PS4 as not many ppl knew of it. Im straying off topic but please leave any thoughts or comments. Thanks,Willow Lover

spencer320
I'm trying to figure out what this post was about? I'm thinking you want to know how many sleep darts to use to make a Giant fall asleep?? If that's the case 4 or 5 should do it. Just keep in mind as soon as you hit them they'll awaken. Best thing to do against the Dragonfly is to put him to sleep. Drop 14 gunpowder right in front of him, light then run. He should stay asleep long enough for the gunpowder to work it's magic. If your planning on using gunpowder against the other giants, you might want to look up their health on the wiki. Use 1 less than what it would take to actually kill them (this way, their loot won't burn) then finish them off by tanking or kiting. Although these Giants can easily be kited with not too much of a problem. Hope this help and welcome to the Forums!!

the truthseeker
And to add further. Mandrakes can also be found in caves. However when looking for them above ground as you said you did, they often are found in "empty" areas of grasslands, like bee zones (but without beehives of course.) Have you searched your entire above world looking for them this way? But the info on sleep darts is fine, so I have nothing else to add to that. Yes i have checked every square inch to reveal the whole map, and also aware of the pattern in which areas to find them. I haven't thoroughly checked each cave yet, though i will keep my eye out for them down there. Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the feedback Technically, you could have as few as 1 mandrake, so it might have been missed in the overworld. Dang things could be hidden behind a pickable and not seen unless the map is rotated. but even so, caving or Teleportato are your other two options left. Pity they aren't an ultra rare from tumbleweeds/catcoons.
