Automatic transition to the first recipe for food, for which there are ingredients

Recommended Posts

When I determine that three dishes are to be produced in a continuous mode, only the first one is actually produced. When there are no ingredients, the machine is idle to produce it.

This should work in such a way that the first task in the queue is performed for which components are available. So if you can not make food from recipe No. 1 from the queue, then the game goes on to produce the next dish from the queue an so on.

I agree, this would be super useful. In the meantime, it might be nice to make it more obvious that you can only make one continuous recipe at a time, perhaps by having continuous recipes take up all the slots, or graying them out. It wasn't immediately apparent to me that additional recipes wouldn't get made.

Potential solution: A new 1 wide 1.5 high building called a prep table made out of metal to serve as an input for the grill and replace the queue system. Appearance would be a simple metal table that fits right beside the grill.

1. The storage slots would be recipes, sort of how critter feeders have the animal name with a list of foods underneath.

  • Check Omelette and all off your eggs will be brought here until the available space is filled.
  • Or, expand the tree and a list of all your eggs appears and you can choose to only stone hatch eggs but not smooth hatch eggs. This is the same mechanic used for storage lockers. Difference between storing all organic or storing only algae. Solves the egg issue of accidentally eating your rare eggs.

2. Mouse over would tell you what recipes you have ingredients for and how many of that food can be made.

3. There would be a priority tab where you could set the recipes just like you do dupe jobs.

4. Hidden priority would be rot time. Food that expires soonest jumps in the queue.

5. Works as a cooler. Doesn't keep fresh as well as refrigerator, but better than a storage locker. No power required. Maybe have material type affect heat (not sure of this after this a-lite nerf).

6. Maybe have a non-required clean water input for freshness/germ-free buff? (Which could also with water temp could be something players use).

7. Can set alert/use automation to warn when ingredients are running low rather than checking materials menu/storage.
