I've noticed this both in my worlds and other people's (happening for both hosts and guests), and not necessarily in overbuild worlds, had in issue in a fairly new world as well.

overall performance is so much better than it used to be tho, I am very grateful for that.

Steps to Reproduce

Do you know if it's the generic walls/gates, or some particular skins?

I know for sure it was also regular walls (no skins) so not just skins related. A friend told me it's a memory issue if the ps5 was left in stand by with the game open. Haven't encountered it the past few days.

Hi,

Actually I found default skins worked fine, in fact, sweeping all by base skins to default really improved performance issues I was having.

But i think a solution has been found:

Try restarting your playstation in safe mode and clearing the cache then rebuilding the database, as per fatkitty's suggestion here

It worked for me, the only thing that might also have helped is I moved the game files from the original PS5 SSD to an expansion bay drive.

Hope it helps.

Unfortunately, I had missing lureplant and boat deck skins last night. All other skins ok at the mo, I don't know if the cache has become confused already and it will get worse over time, but I'd say the issue is still unresolved.

I think I've got some more useful intel - at one point in my splitscreen game, the Victorian drying racks were fine, then the second player picked up one of their daily gifts at the bookshelf, and immediately the drying racks were invisible.

For me and several others, this bug is a really big deal, a lot of these skins were paid for and we aren't able to use them, and if we leave an item on the floor somewhere and it goes invisible, we've essentially lost the item as well. So I'm really hoping a dev can look at this in time for the next update, @CharlesB please have a look at these updated steps to recreate on PS5/4:

Create a world with all of the items and structures in all of their varieties of skins in a small area.

Grant yourself the daily skin drops over and over at a variety of protyping stations.

Check each structure and item still has a visible skin, you might need to rotate the view to let them deload and reload.
