Invisible skins of items, structures, heads, equipment

I'll keep reporting this bug until it's addressed as it's a real bugbear and plagues every world.

Here you can see 15 seconds of Winona with no classic face, while wearing an invisible Cawnival Bee Queen Crown, invisible Corrupted Cane with the purple effect still active, on top of a Beefalo with no flowery face, standing on a pier beside invisible Abandoned Ships and invisible Plantera lureplants. Here's a screengrab:

Steps to Reproduce

Create a world with all of the items and structures in all of their varieties of skins in a small area.

Walk away so that they have a chance to unload.

Walk back.

Check each structure and item still has a visible skin.

If this doesn't work, maybe advance time, or go into a pre-existing world with lots of items and structures everywhere.

Hia . Did You try enabling small textures ? It did fix the issue on my long term world permanently plus helps with the lag .

This is working for me so far - in the time it's taken to level Winona, the usual invisible suspects are keeping their textures. 
I'm not happy about the quality of the textures, but at this point it's better to have blurry ones than invisible ones. 
Hopefully, @CharlesB, this is useful to the dev team?

Its the best and only workaround that i found after trying everything .

Youll get used to quality after a while no biggie .

I've switched small textures off again to see if the invisible textures return, so will see how that goes.

I have the file, and I fixed up the link.
I'll try take a look at the save soon, and hopefully reproduce the problem
