Glass forge's content is not insulated (like this bug mentions) and as a result it either freeze in a solid tile of glass if the glass forge is in a cold environment (like mentioned in the bug list of bugs) or it scalds dupes on the spot (picture below)
I started getting scalding warnings although the glass forge was in ~40C temperature area and then I paused to this:
While the glass exiting the pipe and there is still some molten glass in the forge's storage, it flashes the surrounding atmosphere to +100C for a second until all glass is inside the ceramic pipe.
If someone tried to prevent that and put the glass forge in a really cold environment, the molten glass instant freezes before exiting the glass forge's storage
glass forge not working fine.sav (base game file)
There is no way to prevent the glass forge building from exchanging heat with its environment (except using the mod stock bug fix)
Build a glass forge
-Have forge in normal/oxygen atmosphere around 30-40C and a dupe (without atmo suit) continuously fabricate glass
-Result: Dupe gets scalded from time to time because of instant heat spike created by the forge
-Have forge in normal/oxygen atmosphere around 20C and a puddle of liquid at the bottom (supercoolant in -30C)
-Result: Molten glass instantly solidifies before exiting the glass forge and it creates a solid glass tile
