Regolith pile becomes much taller after falling

ShanyBoy
  • Branch: Preview Branch Version: Windows Pending

Game version: SU-288927
There was a pile of regolith on top of my bunker doors about 3-4 tiles tall. The bunker doors open, letting the regolith fall through, then after settling, the regolith pile suddenly reaches up to the world's top border.

This happened in a world that was created in the Rocketry Upgrade, I wasn't able to reproduce it in a world created on this update.

Steps to Reproduce
Plet some closed bunker doors with meteorites allowing regolith to pile up a bit. Open the bunker doors. Watch the pile grow all the way to the top of the world after the regolith settles again.

User Feedback

after updating, I now have huge mountains of regolith below my bunker doors and tiles! with some regolith tiles as heavy as 30t.

Confirmed. Second to this, regolith falls through glass tiles, protecting my solar panels, falling 50% onto the panels and stacking there to new regolith tiles, overheating everything, and the other 50% even fall through the solar panels, stacking below. Loadet a save created with 1st space industry preview and all of the sudden my solar panels are entombed in regolith that should not be possible to be there.

This happened right after updating the save file. The display is also oddly displayed as kg when it should be in tons.
You can see the regolith above the map limit in the temperature overlay even though they aren't visually seen.

is because of the merging solution. You have more stacks of 25 tones of regolith. When the regolith  fall from the bunker doors  absorbed the packs and created the high tower or regolith... it can be fixed by increase the amount of regolith can be stanked in one tile of regolith. In the normal gameplay this will not happen. Best solution.. dig all and repeat the process.
