radbolts disapearing.

Hello, 

radbolt are constanttly disapearing frome the generator and the material research station.

4 radbolts / cycle -> 50 needed to be sent and when they are not disapearing they are lost a while after in the station.

after 60 cylcles, i only researched 19 points.

no over tension nor power loss.

if it's really the amount needed for the research it's way too big in my point of view.

is this a bug ? if not, how many radbolts for a research point ?

19 points are 190 radbolts (10 radbolts per research point if I remember correctly). If you produce 4 radbolts/ cycle that would be 47,5 cycles to research 19 points, right? In perfect conditions a setup producing 4 radbolts./cycle should produce 240 radbolts after 60 cycles and 24 researched points. Radbolts don't decrease by 1 each tile travelled anymore but they still decrease every 10 tiles I think (I don't know if your setup covers that). If the station is full, it can't receive any more radbolts and radbolts just pass through. Radbolts can hit dupes and critters if they are in their way. 

It depends on the setup but 19 research points in 60 cycles seems realistic for your current radbolt production

as far i understand correctly, your radiation source what you use for generate the rad-bolts  is very low, you should increase that.

add allot shine bugs to small room with radbolt generator, that should todo the trick.

radbolts lose if they get hit for something like Critters ,its your response for make sure that path is clear

I think redbolt decrease 0.1 per tile. Not 1 per 10 tiles.

I have 8 tiles between generator and research terminal. Originally I fire 100 redbolts to the station but the terminal show it has only 99. (Not enough for 10 points research). Later I fire 101 redbolts as below. You can see the the terminal take 100 redbolts and the rest redbolts goes 2 tiles and disappear. Not sure if this is intended.

yes there is something weird happening with distance counting. for example if you add it close to 5 tiles, first it count as 50 radbolts then after you shoot another 50 it count as 49

but that issue can be easily be in storage as they to use float in code not the short and why to i talk about short? because we dealing numbers between 50-500. this low value not need use bigger Integral numeric types
