I noticed that the temp of my mechanical airlocks was not changing.
I have a room of vacuum with temp shift plates above and below the doors to control transfer of heat.
the doors kept staying at the temp they switched to when they closed. I quickly realized that they had to still be conducting since the temp shift plates above and below changed temp although they did not. A check of the thermal overlay shows the actual temp of the door.
when i built a door in oxygen, put a ice sculpture next to it and checked before and after temps while also preventing any dupe interactions (ie the door sitting static) the environment temp went down, the material the door is made up of went down but the tooltip and property tab did not update.. (ie 75.5 at the start and 74.6 1/4 turn later).
I guess vacuum isn't required.. nor temp shift plates.
persisted after save/load.
the door properties also lie..
build a door in vacuum. try to cool it and observe
