Pipes not transferring heat

Not sure if it's a bug, not yet implemented feature or it's working as intended (hope it isn't), but liquid pipes have no heat interactions with surrounding items - gases, liquids, buildings or items that emit heat. And vice versa - nothing affects liquids inside pipe, so in effect pipes have 0 heat transfer, even most basic ones made from sandstone. Thus there is no need for insulated pipes, nor there is any possibility of a fancy liquid-based cooling/heating systems.

Steps to Reproduce
Build any liquid transport system and watch the heat transfer.

User Feedback

I've noticed the same thing. When building a liquid cooled, insulated battery tower that was producing gas heat upwards to 200C, liquids in the pipe didn't rise at all when in a radiator configuration (side to side across the batteries)

Agreed I have pumped liquid CO2 through pipes with no thermal shielding and had no temp loss even with steam passing over them.

This is fixed, nowadays I see players using normal pipes to cool an area and insulated pipes definitely prevent the heat exchange that occurs with normal pipes.
