Hatch doesn't drop when door opens below it

I usually go with a "murder room" for hatches to turn excess hatches into bbq, for this play I went with a floor drop away, but the hatches are happily running around on the open door as if it was closed for the entire time the door is open (half the cycle per clock) and wont drop into the "fryer"...   :D

Steps to Reproduce
configure as above, two wide chamber with door as "floor", open door with automation, hatches dont drop.

@LeftyRighty this is not a bug

just because there is a work around doesn't mean this isn't a bug. Levitating on a floor that is no longer there is clearly not right.

I think it's intentional. They used to fall through horizontal doors several updates ago. This got changed but vertical doors were kept the same. Pneumatic and horizontal doors also don't work as foundations anymore either iirc. Working as intended means it's not a bug, but maybe it's kind of odd.
