Game won't load past Klei screen

Whenever I load up the game, it goes to the Klei logo screen and then closes itself.

I've tried verifying files, and even switching back and forth between the beta branches. Nothing seems to change.

Steps to Reproduce

Having the same issue. Restarting Windows 10 solves the issue for me for a limited time. Might have something to with the latest Win updates.

Hey everyone, @Rosten @chr1swr1ght @PerPlaysToo. Unfortunately, you haven't provided enough information to help diagnose your issues. All of your issues could be related or be entirely due to different reasons.

Always always always, attach copies of your log files. In this case, since game crashes on start up it's the client_log.txt file that's important. Proceed with the following:

  • First, make the game crash again
  • After game crashes, go to Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether
  • Look for client_log.txt directly
  • Open this bug report and click Add Comment at bottom to open reply box
  • Drag drop the client_log.txt file directly into the Edit Text Box and submit Comment OR click the choose files option in the Edit Text Box to attach the file
