Game takes several minutes to quit from main menu

When I quit from the main menu, the game goes into "Not Responding" status for several minutes before closing down. This happens whether I loaded into the game proper or just open the main menu and quit immediately.

Steps to Reproduce
Just open the game and hit "quit"
Go to bugs

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Mine also takes forever to load/quit. I actually think mine is a RAM issue on my computer, this game eats my entire available memory slowly over the course of about an hour and freezes if I play longer than that without restarting. I erased a tom of the save files and it helped a lot.
