Game crashes on startup

Windows 10. Game crashes on open. After some trial and error I was able to get the game to start but at the Duplicate pick screen they weren't showing up and after generating the seed it only showed a purple/pink screen and the 3 Dupes names. Then after that, it's now back to crashing on startup.

Steps to Reproduce
Clicking Play on Steam -> Screen goes black for a second -> Error Message
Go to bugs

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

What did you do to make the game start? Cause for some reason it is trying to use direct x 9 instead of 11 which is prob what is causing the graphics issues.

As for the crashing ... not sure so wait for a dev. But it is crashing when trying to talk to steam so maybe try reinstalling steam? Since your games are in a different place you shouldn't need to reinstall them.

It seems like Windows can't use DirectX 11 with your graphics card. Looking online, it seems like some people have had success by updating their Windows/Graphics Drivers.
