Flying Critters Stuck in Liquids (again)

Moondrake
  • Branch: Preview Branch Version: Windows Fixed

Flying critters are getting stuck in liquids and never fly out again. Examining their pathing shows they can move out but they never do. I tried deleting the water pump but that didn't work. The shine bugs were actually stuck in the water before I built any of the mesh tiles and they just flew back and forth along the top of the water.

Steps to Reproduce
There isn't anything in particular you can do to reproduce this, although allowing the egg of a flying critter to hatch underwater might do the job. In my case, the critters simply flew into the water and stayed there.

Hi @Sasza22, do you think this bug report is the same/similar to yours?:

I`m not sure. For me they get stuck at the edge of the liquid and loading a save fixes it. Do your critters show any possible paths trhough navigation? Mine didn`t.

Sounds like a different bug. Common: they get stuck at the edge of the liquid. Uncommon: a save/load does not fix my issue, and navigation paths are shown in my issue. That last part makes it really strange; the shine bugs and pufts show a path up and out of the water, but just never go that way - ever.
