Farm-, Power-Station ignoring Automation

Something that bother me for a while now. Farmstation & Power Control Station are Disabled in in the desired Room but, the Dupes just gets fertilizer from another Greenhouse Room and doing it anyways. Then what is the point for the Automation?

It would be great, if the Room Status for Greenhouse or Power Plant would be removed if a Station is present and Disabled. Or don't allow Dupes to perform Tune up Tasks. For Power Plant Rooms, it is acceptable, as it is a few buildings, but For Plant with multiple Rooms it is tiring to Disallow every single Plant. 


Steps to Reproduce

-have multiple rooms with a farmstation
-set a red automation signal to Farmstation

-observe as a dupe get fertilizer from another Greenhouse Room

This is what should happen after the Bionic update. Automation on the Farm Station or Power Control Station only turns off that station. It does not turn off the logic in the Greenhouse or Power Plant room. The room is still valid, so dupes can still get fertilizer or do tune-ups in other rooms.

red signal does not mean room disabled
It only blocks that one station.

agreed that it's bad UX for farms with more than one room. Either automation should make the room bonus useless or completely stop related tasks. Right now, the rules for automation and the room don't match up.

They should just have moved the production to the crafting station instead. let the stations work as they used to.

2 Birds 1 stone situation as it would also add more value to the crafting station, which otherwise is hardly used in game as is.

Agree completely. Removing this functionality was a bad idea. We now have to construct elaborate door + dupe sensor automation to block off rooms we don’t want to be fertilized or tuned up. Could we at least get a duplicant room sensor (like the critter sensor but for dupes) to simplify things?
