Crash since 490405 update after new year till now

My game always auto-crashed since 490405 update at loading screen, i tried change different driver from old to newest but nothing change after 490405 update. Game works fine before the update now i literally can't play ONI on my laptop since my latest save game on dec 2021....

I've tried load first circle and start a new world still crashed during loading, it's just freeze and force shutdown without "Black hole ate your game" warn....

I Never touch anything but i got no DMP files inside my "appdata/local" Klei folder

Steps to Reproduce

Load/Start New Game -> Loading -> buzzing sound (freezing) -> crashed to desktop without showing "black hole ate your game"

I see you system has 4GB of memory? and a non dedicated graphics card (included in you CPU)? This would mean that your GPU needs to share the memory system with the CPU. I think your system is just running out of memory, 8GB for this setup would be recommended and 16GB i would advise is you use windows and use a non dedicated graphics card.

Could this problem have started after the big merge update? i have seen increased memory used on my system after that update. I can only load the base game on a similar AMD system with 8GB after i did set it to "Low Resolution Textures" else the system did run out of memory. Using The DLC has been possible with reduced performance because the system is using the swap/page file on the SSD if you have a HD you can forget about getting any performance in that situation.

It works fine with 4 GB RAM and Radeon HD 8400 before the newest patch, my laptop has 4gb memory cap. I just want to play soon after i'm going home from my desk job, i prevent my self from owning a gaming PC since this kind of hobby is addicting and waste a lot of money.....I just wanted to play....

Assuming you are talking about the base game and not the DLC, the "before Mergedown" version of the game is available on Steam as a BETA, public previous version CS-469300. Most mods will not work in this version though.  

Edit: I totally read that wrong... Unfortunately there is no "previous version" for the DLC, only the latest one.

I contribute by buying this DLC since alpha yet i cannot play it and KLEI giving no option to play the previous patch....

Guess the only way to play this game and continue my save game is just download and play the previous patch using the pirated version then haha r-right ? :^)

You could also have a look if you can upgrade the memory of the laptop? Download CPU-Z and run it (No need to install), look at the memory and SPD tab. On the memory tab look at channel#, if it say's dual you got 2 memory stick if it says singel you have 1 stick. Look at the SPD tab and check slot#1 and Slot#2 to verify if you have 1 or 2 sticks of memory, most likely you have 1 stick of 4GB. You can add 1 stick of 4GB with the same speed (See max bandwidth of SPD tab). Do not order dimms for a laptop use so-dimms, 4GB of memory is around 30 to 40 Euros/Dollar, this would make your laptop capable or running the game and having a way faster machine ;)
