Clarification on 1kg liquid packet phase change bug and battery charging not counting as power draw

Packets of less than 1kg of liquid and 0.1kg of gas dont change phases. Hence being able to heat say water to 1000C.

Battery doesnt count as power draw, hence being able to use automated switches to carry infinite power trough 1kw wire.

How long is this gonna stay ingame?

Steps to Reproduce
1kg liquid heated beyond phase change doesnt break. Can charge a battery at any power trough a 1kw wire fed by any amount of transformers.

Game mechanic feature. Flow with 10% on max (1 kg for liquid and 100g for gas) or less no change phases. Very low packets no change temperature also (very low temperature change ignored).

Battery no charge, but "absorb" wasted energy (rest part power after consumption), and just no count as consumer (overload calculate by power consumption, not power generation).

Changing any of this would strongly affect game balance. If you release 10 kg of water to go through a cold biome to cool the water, then if you release 10.001 kg, then you have 10 kg (fine) followed by 1 gram where the latter doesn't have the mass to not freeze instantly, which means broken pipes. That would quickly turn into an annoying problem.

Batteries are kind of the same story. A player builds 4 buildings, each consuming 240 W. The energy info window will then say max load is 960 W. Next thing you know somebody reports a bug that the 1000 W wire is overloaded with a 960 W load.

I suspect changing either of those would make the learning curve for new ONI players too steep. Both can be "fixed" with mods if you really want to, but to be completely honest I'm not sure you would like the result if you actually started playing with it. It's one of those issues where at first glance it seems obvious and natural, but when you think it through there are sideeffects, which are less fun to play with.

Yeah yeah, its not a bug its a feature...

Partial flow behavior write in game code. It 'work is intended' feature. Not bug, use as you see fit.
