Black screen of death

Whenever I load ONI, it loads just fine, but then the screen just stays black upon loading. This is a really fun game, but with this black screen all I can hear  is the main menu music. Please help with this glitch so I can play again!

Completely black? As in absolutely nothing on the screen?
