Birds stopped spawning

After the first Dry season, all birds disappear and don't spawn anymore. It's a gamebreaker bug, since I cannot build Piratihatitator :(

 
Steps to Reproduce
Play the game until second year, Mild Season.
Go to bugs

The birds do no respawn while the volcano is erupting. It seems that this can go over into the mild season. But it has passed in my testing, and the birds did spawn again.  Could this be your issue?

Sending me a savegame where your birds are not spawning anymore would be helpful if you have one.
