Turning off Waves

Hello I was recently trying to turn off Waves in modworldgen

but for some reason when I get in game I get an error

that "SetRegionNumWaves" is not declared

Steps to Reproduce
Put waves = "off", into your modworldgen level and try to generate world
Go to bugs

Yeah that function, SetRegionNumWaves, isn't defined for DST, so you'll need to remove the corresponding code from your mod.

I'm experiencing this bug in Don't Starve singleplayer now, and it has broken Up and Away's waves. Is there any alternative to this function?
