I spawned a ripe Saladmander using the Steeped Lunar Essence, attacking it lit the Fire Pit on fire, shortly after I realized that the fire pit's fire never went out that its infinite. Rain won't extinguish the fire and the only way to put it out from what I've tried is destroying it or using a water balloon.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
