Since update 527664 from like 4 hours ago our Linux dedicated server was marked as 'custom' and for some reason the settings are ignored and world is actually a survival, instead of endless, despite not making any changes as this is how we roll for years.
Basically you can't hunt the portal to revive yourself (as should be in endless) and dead players drain sanity from living players (as shouldn't be in endless).
game_mode = endless incluster.ini
log says:
[00:00:00]: PersistRootStorage is now /home/cezar/.klei//DoNotStarveTogether/MyDediServer/Master/ [00:00:00]: Starting Up [00:00:00]: Version: 527664 [00:00:00]: Current time: Fri Oct 21 07:01:10 2022 [00:00:00]: System Name: Linux [00:00:00]: Host Name: xxx [00:00:00]: Release(Kernel) Version: 4.19.0-17-amd64 [00:00:00]: Kernel Build Timestamp: #1 SMP Debian 4.19.194-3 (2021-07-18) [00:00:00]: Machine Arch: x86_64 [00:00:00]: Don't Starve Together: 527664 LINUX [00:00:00]: Build Date: 1393 [00:00:00]: Mode: 64-bit
and it clearly reads my settings and says it's endless:
[00:00:02]: GameMode: endless
And our world generation overrides are:
[00:00:02]: Found a worldgen override file with these contents: [00:00:02]: K: override_enabled V: true [00:00:02]: K: overrides V: table: 0x8e97fc0 [00:00:02]: K: settings_preset V: SURVIVAL_TOGETHER [00:00:02]: K: worldgen_preset V: SURVIVAL_TOGETHER [00:00:02]: sanity-checking worldgenoverride.lua... [00:00:02]: Loaded and applied world gen overrides from ../worldgenoverride.lua [00:00:02]: contained worldgen preset SURVIVAL_TOGETHER, loading... [00:00:02]: contained settings preset SURVIVAL_TOGETHER, loading... [00:00:02]: Overwriting savedata with override file.
Set dedicated server to endless and notice it's actually 'custom' game mode where you can't hunt the portal to revive yourself and dead players drain sanity from living players.
