Digging up a molehill with a mole in it deletes the mole

If you dig up a molehill that has a mole in it, the mole does not show up but instead looks like he is deleted.

Steps to Reproduce
Take a shovel. Go to a molehill with a mole in it. Dig it up and see that no mole is release.

I've been looking into this problem about a month ago and I'm pretty sure it's unintentional. I looked into the game code and found a way to fix it and posted it in the bug tracker but got no response Here's my post if you want to look into it more closly
