BERNIE!!! Can't be used when Enlighted

Willow's protector, Bernie usually transforms when insane.
However when enlightened, Bernie doesn't transform. 
This seems to be a bug or an oversight, it'd be nice to be able to use Bernie when fully Enlighted to help aid in battle.
If it's not a bug maybe it can be changed? Other characters (Wendy, Maxwell) can bring their companions I feel like should too.image.png.112fc6432ac00c5119b1770c8cc9b3f9.png
 

Steps to Reproduce

Visit the Lunar Island, become fully enlightened and drop Bernie. Notice how he doesn't transform.

It's for sure just (what I think) a large design flaw with Willow rather than an actual bug, but it should definitely be changed to allow bernie to go big when enlightened.

There should be another Bernie form. Like one that heals or protects from Gestalts.
