HindrancUS
Hi. Along with the missiles in the game there were many controversial and unpolished moments, but one of them especially spoils the fun for me (and I'm sure not only me) - the flight time of the rocket. Doubly annoying from the fact that this can be fixed very easy, however, it may happen that it will not be fixed ever. Obviously, flying into space, and the extraction of resources from outside of our planetoid should not be simple or cheap affair. It does require technology, research, materials, infrastructure and valuable human resources - that is normal. It is not normal that when I provide all this, the game requires me to have another resource, the most important - my time. I have done a lot of challenging and interesting work in the game and now I have to... wait another week or two of in-game time. My feelings at that moment reminded me of my short experience of browser green games. Apparently, it is assumed that this dozen cycles the player has something to do in his colony, but, first, what if not? Personally, I put the update on an already advanced colony and now my duplicate on at the end of the flight procedures just sleeping, eating dust and sleeping again in anticipation of the return of the next rocket. I even forgot the names of my astronauts because they show up once a week, spend the night and fly away again in the morning. And secondly, even if Yes, if you imagine the ideal situation when after sending a rocket player just forget about it, and the colony continues to give normal life (minus astronauts) - are you sure that this is the attitude and the atmosphere that is needed? Once again: I'm not saying that rockets should fly more often - I'm saying that the result of their flight the player should receive as a result of their own actions (or the actions of its superbly designed and automated base - does not matter), and not after a certain timer, launched a long time ago. Just make the flight time equal to 0.5-1.5 cycles - and we can consider the arrival of the rocket the result of our efforts, not boring waiting. Thank you for your attention. Sasza22
Rockets take 3 cycles per 10k km. This means they can spend up to 33 cycles in space. That`s pretty long. Maybe the more advanced engines should reduce the time in space. Lets say petroleum engine takes 2 cycles per 10k and hyrogen 1 cycle. It would still take 10+ cycles to reach most stuff and lets be real, who would use a hydrogen engine for the closest destinations. 3 cycles to the steel/glass satelite with the most advanced engine sounds balanced as well. WarDrone
Personally I find the entire Rocketry upgrade to be trivial. In all honesty If they want to have rockets go to other places than we should be able to see and interact with those places, Perhaps even move there and start another base. I wouldn't care if it was like how they made don't starve reign and shipwrecked where you could bounce back and forth. As it is now a place has this and/or that resource/s and if you want them lose dupes for a certain amount of time but never actually interact with any of that is well a very bad design flaw I would even say if this is to remain it would be a (COP-OUT)in an other wise very decent game. Alfons100
Perhaps better rockets travel faster. That would make sense, would it not? 8 hours ago, WarDrone said: Personally I find the entire Rocketry upgrade to be trivial. I dunno, I think the idea of rocket travel is good, like a sort of caravan or a shopping system, where you spend whatever fuel you use to gain infinitely renewable of whatever you’re asking. Living on the planets is a very tired suggestion, and I’m not sure if the game would be capable of handling that. It would be nice if just a few of the planets had a trait called ’Inhabitable’ which generates a much, much smaller world with critters/plants that only live there. So you can start a small little sub colony to make exotic resources. Maybe these planets got some real nasty environmental hazards, like a glass planet with mostly seethrough ground, which makes the periodic sun rays a very lethal threat. anton_stezhkin
I don't like the idea of shopping. It's survival, not economy. But I still hope that rockets will have something to do with multiplayer. Rockets IS shop, god or bad, but it is fact. The theme about timer between purchase and delivery of goods.
