Xheotris
So, I tried vacuuming it all out, but there's a pesky smidge of pO2 I can't seem to get rid of. Any ideas? Flushing it with hydrogen seems like it would cause the same problem, and I can't keep steam up while the insulation is open for maintenance. Neotuck
does your build have dupe access? If so trap the polluted O2 by building a tile under it then delete the gas by building one inside it deconstruct the tiles and re construct the rest Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97996-steam-contamination/#findComment-1109048 Share on other sites
Sundance
Build a deodorizer below it, should have enough reach to just purify it unless it got changed? Sundance
Well, deconstruct the 2 tiles on the right and open all your doors until the po2 is outside. Afterwards rebuild and restart =) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97996-steam-contamination/#findComment-1109054 Share on other sites

Sundance
You can build a tile instead of where the po2 is right now and pump it out afterwards, then restart your steam production, or first pump out the co2 and fill again afterwards. It's either putting in a bit of construction and ventilation work or using debug/sandbox mode to get rid of it, but i can't think of any easy and quick way to just force it out otherwise. If there is only a little of polluted O2 the deodorizer will not convert it, the deodorizer need a minimum amount of polluted O2 to convert it into O2; if there is less, it will only store it and when it is deconstructed it will be released again Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97996-steam-contamination/#findComment-1109065 Share on other sites

Xheotris
I fixed it! I moved the open tile to the side, and added a bump to my insulation. I then constructed and deconstructed the two side tiles until the gas was deleted. Sundance
Well, gz i guess.. didn't think of the deletion thingy since i never used it myself intentionally. @The others about the deodorizer, this was my brainfart since po2 and o2 would both disable the steam engine, i just focused on the "getting rid of po2 part at first" Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97996-steam-contamination/#findComment-1109070 Share on other sites

Xheotris
Makes sense to me. The deodorizer sucks pO2 in in a square around it, but drops it in its own square. Then you can just chain the deodorizers next to eachother and deconstruct in order from start to finish. Never tried so i'm just guessing at this point. The deodorizer should inhale the po2 without converting it since there isn't enough mass, if you have another deodorizer in range while deconstructing the old one with little po2 inside it should be possible to move the po2 by doing so. neoazureus
4 minutes ago, Neotuck said: how does deconstructing the deodorizer move the polluted o2 where you want? Since a deodorizer stores the PO2. When there is a deodorizer nearby, it will absorb that PO2; by deconstructing it the deodorizer next to it will absorb the PO2, and so on. It's like I move a tiny bubble of PO2 without having to lock it in and delete it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97996-steam-contamination/#findComment-1109078 Share on other sites
