Instead of carrying a torch, the pig guards could carry a cork candle hat instead to prevent griefing. I also think that they shouldn't drop it, but don't know if that's possible. It gets annoying when you want to defend yourself against an incoming vampire bat attack by using guard pigs, and it's dusk/night.
