That won't disinfect the slime. You need chlorine or cold storage for that.

That was the discussion, you put bleach stone inside for ~2 turns and you get 1800g/tile chlorine (going from vacuum).  After that you store the slime and it doesn't off-gass plus all slimelung is killed very quickly.

both the skimmer and sieve have a set temperature of 40C, once you start the loop the temperatures won't be getting mixed nor will they change

so any extra clean water produced, you dont care that you mix it with 20 degree water or do you store it separately?

I don't think you understand what I meant by a "closed loop" no extra water is produced and will run indefinitely as long as you provide filtration medium

Yeah i get what you mean.. sorry... 20181025232657_1.thumb.jpg.28eef1f9c0bcac7919a5f21c616ed637.jpg

because the resourse to product ratio for the carbon skimmer is 1:1 it is an infinite loop.

@HELLFIRE_219 So the dupes shower with germ infested water then remove them by washing hands?  Does washing hands with germy water even work?

Kinda silly... :(

Showers, Lavatories, and Sinks all continue to function when supplied with germ infested clean water.  They emerge clean and germ free from Sinks and Showers.  It's really counter-intuitive and honestly I expect that to change at some point in the future when they revisit germs and their counter-play.

Heh, wish I had known that earlier.

Well I guess I can roleplay and keep cleaning the sewage... :p

Yeah you are right - it is silly. Just like Raptor said, it is more so how the equipment was coded to work..

Haha yeah you can clean the sewage - im actually interested how you do it! I know there are convoluted way converting it into steam and such.

One thing that has always annoyed me though and i haven't sorted... With two liquids (water and water) of different temperatures, should i keep them apart or not worry about it unless i am using the water for farming? I meantioned it a few times before but yeah....

In my previous game I managed to store the water externally from the gyser and have a separate water cooling route which stored the water at a different temperature (which failed and I now know why.. which i will develop in this round). I am just confused about how to treat different temperature waters of the same type (water and water)..

I don't really have a proper system in place, I needed a quick influx of cold water so I setup an Aquatuner to cool sieve water to 20°C and dunked it in a pool of sewage with thermo sensor set to drain some and refill/cool the tank.  At 85ish °C the germs in the tank were getting killed, just not fast enough that a few of them were leaking into my cold tank. The only problem was that I emptied 2 basins of polluted water and converted it to fresh, and didn't process enough sewage, so now I require more heat...

Better setup would be automation to dump the whole tank once the germs are dead, and refill it after.
