Outside Owned Land

I kinda imagine the small square around the shack part of your owned personal property, so it'd be really nice if we could put decorations outside the house, too. I know you can renovate the exterior, but I'd love to put a lamp out there. My house is right in the middle of a dark spot among the lamp posts, so it's always a blind search when I'm looking for it at night without a torch, so being able to put a lamp outside would be helpful. Also maybe a potted plant or gnome or whatever would be fun, too.
