Buggy transformers?

I build power transformer cubes throughout my bases to supply power to all nearly equipment.  Today I noticed some strange behavoir that I'm wonder if anyone else has experienced.  Below, you'll see two screenshots with the tooltips shown for two side by side transformers.  The first shot, shows how it should look when working correctly.  The PT shows disabled and has the "No Power" message, along with the red no power icon displayed.  However, as seen in the second shot, the PT directly next to the first also shows disabled, however it does not show the "No Power" message.  It also appears to be generating heat, even though it's not charging and does not show up under the energy tab of my heavy-watt wire.  While I don't think they are causing unneccessary power draw, the extra heat generated is a bit annoying.  Worse yet is there doesn't seem to be a way to fix it without dupe access to the building.  I tried turning the automation on and off, from both the clock sensor and the battery and nothing changed.  It will cycle and charge correctly when needed, but it continues the behavoir after completing the charge cycle.  Anyone have any idea what's going on here, or if there's a way to build in a safe-guard?

The transformer also functions like a capacitor holding a small charge of power as it transforms it into a low wattage

Disabled stops the transformer from receiving additional power from the input side

but if there is nothing to pull the power from the output side than the transformer holds the charge generating heat

If that's the case, shouldn't I be able to set the standby level on my battery to 90%, allowing it to discharge the remaining power into the battery?  I just tested, and setting the standby to 90% does nothing.

Okay I may have answered my own question.  It seems that disabling the transformer stops it from receiving AND sending power.  So apparently I need to do this through shutoffs instead, which is pretty stupid TBH.  In the past I tried using shutoffs and low usage circuits would sometimes seem to get stuck in a similar manner.  But I'll go through and put shutoffs in and see maybe that works better.  Thanks!

Here's a basic setup I use for transformers, a single wheeze can take care of any heat generated and the battery standby is set to 10%

Works well for me and never had any problems

Yeah that's basically the setup I showed above, except I cram 8-10 in a box and 1 wheezewort will cool all of them.  Did you click the spoiler tag? 

I also have them set at 10% standby and while about 90% of them turn off correctly, the other 10% seem to continously generate heat, regardless of their automation status.
